Our Latest Project: Custom Ajax-Based Home Security System
We developed a custom solution for an elite client living in a busy residential area in Mumbai. We built a surveillance system to address their security concerns. This case study focuses on "Safe Home," where we used the Ajax Security System as the main part.
We also integrated Tuya smart locks, Yale door locks, and Wi-Fi cameras, our team developed this system using Node.js and AWS IoT, which provided real-time alerts through wireless sensors. We completed the installation in just 4 hours, without any wiring.
System Design and Integration
We chose the Ajax Hub as the central controller. It includes motion detectors, door sensors, smoke detectors, and flood detectors, these sensors work on the Jeweller protocol and have a range of up to 1700m.
We connected the Tuya locks using an MQTT bridge that syncs lock status through API webhooks. When the Ajax system enters arm mode, the Tuya locks automatically lock. We linked Yale locks to the Ajax app, which offers biometric access and tamper alerts.
We added gas sensors that are Zigbee-compatible, along with Neda cameras, which provide 1080p video recording with cloud storage.
The system's frontend is built on a React Native app, features AES-256 encryption and geofencing. Family members can control the system from anywhere using the app. They can arm the system remotely and view live feeds.

The camera turns on when it sees motion and sends a push notification. In an emergency, the locks open to allow for evacuation.
Smart Routines
The system auto-activates arm mode at 7 a.m. and disarms at 6 p.m. It offers role-based access for tenants, such as allowing gate control only.

It supports voice control with Amazon Alexa, allowing commands like "Alexa, lock the house."

The app provides weekly reports, including access logs and battery status.
