Smart Watch Development

Smart Watch Development for a US Healthcare & Fitness Product Company

Innovative health and fitness product development is one of our client's areas of expertise, this includes next-gen wearable technology such as smart watches. Our client hired Adequate Infosoft as their partner to create an advanced smart watch based on Nordic Semiconductor's nRF52 Series platform (nRF52832 and nRF52840).

The device was planned to deliver advanced health monitoring, comprehensive workout tracking, and high-precision performance metrics focused on jump analysis, including jump height and jump velocity. This project was intended to establish a long-term engineering collaboration.

Adequate Infosoft delivered a production-ready smart watch design, including low-power RTOS-based firmware optimized for continuous wearable usage.

The goal of the device was to provide cutting-edge health monitoring, complete workout tracking, and the most accurate performance metrics related to jump analysis, such as jump height and jump velocity. This project marked the beginning of a long-term engineering partnership between Adequate Infosoft and our client.

Advanced Sensor Fusion algorithms were used to obtain accurate measurements of jump velocity and height, supporting ADL tracking, health monitoring and CrossFit-focused workouts.

Fully functional prototypes were also delivered to the production facility and designed in a way that they were capable of being mass manufactured as well as having the necessary certifications to enable mass production.

BLE Smart Ring Firmware Development for a US Technology Startup

Adequate Infosoft worked with an American tech start-up in a different project to help them to develop the next generation of battery powered smart rings used in wearables and lifestyle markets.

The project scope had just moved into the Engineering Verification Testing phase (EVT) where the product’s firmware needed to be stable, its power consumption needed to be ultra-low and the product needed to have its hardware brought up.

The smart ring was designed with a focus on minimalism, discretion, and ultra-low power, while still supporting touch gestures, haptic feedback, and LED indicators.

BLE Smart Ring Firmware Development

Our team designed a scalable core firmware architecture supporting nRF52-class MCUs, with flexibility prior to final MCU selection.

Multiple firmware modes with gesture-based switching were implemented, and power consumption was carefully optimized for continuous wearable use. The firmware enabled smooth hardware bring-up, early validation, and was architected to seamlessly support future DVT and PVT phases.
