Solutions Using Infineon SDK Integration

We created a custom smart home security app, integrating Ajax alarms and smart locks. The client wanted a solution for the European market: automatic alarm/disarm when the lock is opened, with top-level security.

We used OPTIGA™ Trust M in the MCU of the locks. This chip provides encrypted keys and certificates so that Bluetooth/WiFi connections are hack-proof.

How did we use them for our USA-based client in a recent project?

Made passive locks with NAC1080 – unlock with NFC tap, no battery needed. These smart locks were linked to the Ajax hub, sending real-time events.

How does it work?

User unlocks the lock with the app, a secure signal from OPTIGA™ goes to NAC1080, which drives the motor. Then, event push via AWS SQS to Ajax cloud – alarm disarm. Secure communication with TEGRION™ to the hub prevents tampering. The result: a secure system that meets EN standards and saves 40% power. Our Danish client has deployed over 500 units. The challenge was latency, which we solved in 100ms using Infineon chips. The solution was integrated into a React Native app, and testing is complete.

Industrial security system

Recently built a custom Android, iOS, and web app for a USA client. In this project, we used Infineon SDKs and some of their hardware products.

We implemented device identity management using Infineon’s OPTIGA™. Smart gates and alarms were integrated, with certificates managed through the SDK to prevent hacking.

The result: 30% power savings thanks to energy harvesting from NAC1080. The app was developed as a hybrid solution using Flutter.

For a UK client, we integrated sensors using Infineon’s Home & Building SDKs, enabling control of alarms and lights. Security is ensured with OPTIGA™, and door actuators are powered by NAC1080.

The app was developed with React Native, and the web solution with ReactJS. It is now deployed in office buildings. The main challenge was GDPR compliance, which we successfully addressed using the SDKs.
