Industrial Air-Quality Monitoring Solution

A client faced a major challenge. Their factory had frequent dust and gas emissions, caused discomfort for workers and rapid wear on machinery.

We installed an IoT-based air monitoring system with PM2.5, CO₂, and VOC sensors. All sensors sent data to a gateway using BLE. The gateway then relayed the data to the cloud via the MQTT protocol.

The app we developed showed real-time air quality information and automatically activated ventilation systems if the air quality fell below a set level.

Monitoring a Critical Waterway

A Unique Case Study: Monitoring a Critical Waterway in a Remote Area

This story shows how we think and work.

Challenge

One of our customers needed to monitor a critical waterway in a remote mountainous area , required real-time data on water levels, flow speed, and water quality i.e pH, turbidity to issue flood warnings and manage water allocation for irrigation. The issue was that there was no electricity or reliable cell service at the site. Collecting data physically was very expensive and risky.

Our Unique Solution

Ultra-low-power sensor package: We created custom-designed, solar-powered sensor nodes connected to underwater sensors. These nodes were able to operate for months without any manual assistance.

Using a LoRaWAN network

Since there was no cell service, we installed a LoRaWAN gateway on a nearby hill. The gateway received data from sensors kilometers away. Because it transfers very little data, it consumes very little power.

Satellite backhaul

To send data to the internet, we set up the gateway to send data directly to the cloud using a satellite transmitter.

Predictive modeling

In the cloud, we developed a predictive model that estimated flood risk over the next 24 hours based on expected weather and current flow.

Results

This system provided the customer with minute-by-minute data, even from a remote area. They experienced a 95% improvement in their ability to provide flood warnings and could optimize water use, which directly benefited local agriculture.
